This beautiful leaf, 1.5" long is made of fine silver and began life on a raspberry bush in my gargen in Horseshoe Bay. The slow process of gradually building up layer upon layer of fine silver mixed with an organic binder begins the transformation. The binder and leaf is then burned away in a kiln leaving behind a leaf with exquisite detail of 99.9% pure silver. It hangs from a hand made substantial 14ga Argentium Sterling silver wire choker measuring 6" in diameter.
"Beauty" Fine silver leaf choker
Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver and is very resistant to tarnish. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 92.5% copper. Argentium sterling silver has some of it's copper content replaced with Germanium making it considerably more tarnish resistant than traditional sterling silver.
