A heavy ga copper butterfly pendant decorated with Argentium silver spirals and body.  It is suspended from two pieces of sterling silver chain and finished off with Argentium sterling silver wire wrapped copper beads at each end. The butterfly measures 2" across the top and 1.5" from top to bottom.  The finished length of this necklace is 21".  All copper components have been treated with laquer to prevent tarnish.

As the copper components of this necklace have been coated in laquer to prevent tarnish they should not be polished or immersed in jewellery cleaner. Doing so will remove the protective laquer and allowing the copper to tarnish. The silver chain sections alone can be silver dipped or polished with an empregnated polishing pad.

Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 92.5% copper. Argentium sterling silver has some of it's copper content replaced with Germanium making it considerably more tarnish resistant than traditional sterling silver.
